Skirmishers under new regulations may use clear airsoft models using 6m plastic BBs firer or Paintball Markers which use .68 or .40 calibre paintballs, wearing the minimum protection of protective eyewear or a face mask. This can be done in informal groups or teams on private land only where you have the owners consent, and where you may only fire within that land and not accross its boundaries.
New legislation brought in from 1st October 2007, makes ownership or sale of realistic looking firearms in a public place an illegal action.
Automatic AEGs are now illegal to buy without production of a certificate of insurance which provides for third party public liability - so this will dampen down the enthusiasm for on the spot purchases. All black or nickel CO2 powered airsoft are covered by airgun law and are included under the leisure menu.
